CCTV
CCTV is a system of cameras that record whatever happens in the area you choose, and enables to be watched live or recorded for later viewing on a TV screen, PC, Smartphone via the internet anywhere in the world.
Having a CCTV system in place raises the level of security provided by alarm systems and enables simplified supervision of the selected areas.
CCTV systems are specialized for different purposes. Starting from building sites activity at the site can be viewed at all times of day, Shop and business owners can watch areas of their business that are not in constant plain sight, parents can view their children when left with hired help, families of elderly or ill people can see if their loved ones are receiving the correct treatment from the carers, home or business owners can trace burglars that have managed to bypass the alarm systems and enter the home or business.
The recordings are made using a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) The length of recording depends on the size of the hard drive, number of cameras, amount of movement in covered area. The recorder will never run out of space as it is programmed to delete the oldest data and start again.
There are currently two different types of cameras; Analogue and Digital:
Analogue: Cameras that use video cable to transfer the video data to the DVR.
Digital: Called IP cameras which transfer a digital image using data cables to the DVR, The image quality is substantially higher than analogue cameras.
